Bei der Entwicklung des Feuchtfutters hat sich Reico an der Natur orientiert. Die Nassfutter MaxidogVit, die in einer Vielzahl von perfekt abgestimmten Geschmacksrichtungen angeboten werden, haben einen hohen Fleischanteil von 69 – 74 %, einen Kohlenhydratanteil von ca. 4% und viel leckeres Gemüse. Zusätzlich enthalten die MaxidogVit Sorten die einzigartige Algenmischung, die den Körper in sein mineralisches Gleichgewicht bringt. Unser Hund Cory, ein Golden Retriever, erhält als nun 12-jähriger Senior MaxidogVit Schonkost Lamm. Dieses enthält 69 % Lamm als Proteinquelle. Weitere Inhaltsstoffe sind mit 4 % Kartoffeln, 4% Karotten, 2 % Hirse und 2 % Spinat. In leckerer Fleischbrühe gegart kommen nur noch unsere Algenmischung hinzu. Er verträgt es optimal.

Dry food MaxiDog
MaxiDog dry food offers complete, all-encompassing nutrition for dogs. The feed is suitable for animals of any age or breed and any lifestyle (eg active or relaxed). We also offer food with a special focus on allergies and intolerances.
MaxiDog is a dry dog food that is made with high-quality ingredients according to tried-and-tested recipes. Only pure raw materials that are as natural as possible and free of genetic engineering are used for this.
The gentle preparation takes place in the process of cold pressing or cold forming . This makes them very easy for the dog to absorb with a little liquid.

From the point of view of the dogs I look after, Maxidog Olymp is the most popular dry food from Reico. It contains lots of tasty beef, poultry and herring jerky as a protein source. Wholegrain rice and corn make up the carbohydrate portion. Various herbal plants, salmon oil, cod liver oil 2%, fennel seeds and our algae mixture provide the vitamins and minerals in a natural form so that they can be better absorbed by the dog.
Wet food MaxidogVit and CuraDog (moist food)
When developing the wet food, Reico, as with the entire product range, took nature as a guide. The wet food MaxidogVit and CuraDog , which are available in a variety of perfectly coordinated flavors, have a high meat content of 69 – 74% and lots of delicious vegetables.

Our dog Cory, a Golden Retriever, is now 12 years old and receives the MaxidogVit lamb diet . This contains 69% lamb as a protein source. Does animal feed contain grain?

How much do I have to feed? What is the feeding recommendation?
No general statement can be made for the correct dosage of Reico dog food. The food not only has to cover the dog’s energy requirements, but above all the nutrient requirements for vitamins and minerals. The feeding recommendation on the label corresponds to the standard values for the stated weight of the dog.
Dosing dog food correctly becomes easier when you supplement the feeding recommendation on the label with the following factors:
- Age – puppies are growing, requiring more energy, older ones have a slower metabolism so it needs less.
- Size & Weight – the bigger the dog, the more food it needs Hormones – neutered dogs tend to develop bulges
- How active is your dog ? a physically active dog needs a little more, but not twice as much as a couch potato.
- Additional snacks – if there are regular treats, these must be taken into account in the calculation !!! and if something falls off the kitchen table from time to time, of course 🙂
- Diseases – there are various diseases that affect the dog’s digestion and metabolism. These include thyroid disease, pancreatitis and diabetes. Then it is particularly important to pay attention to a healthy intestinal flora.
How high is the price or are the costs?
The price for the dry and wet food corresponds to that of comparable premium products. However, it is much more important that you use the correct feeding recommendations (for dogs of normal weight).
So that your dog gets the right amount of nutrients and not too much energy. It is best if you make an appointment, then we will advise you on the optimal amount of food depending on age, stature and activity.
